This season’s inspiration come from the 1980s rock and roll era. Brunello Cucinelli puts most of his emphasis on the denim jackets and the down vests. For Spring/Summer 2013 expect to see three new down vest models, the square quilted vest with the varsity jacket collar, the sartorial vest; which features a small shawl collar and their signature jacket details, and finally, the asymmetrical biker jacket down vest. All of these vests are executed perfectly and you can find them in an assortment of fabrics and colors.
Cucinelli focused on two main stories this season, green and maroon pieces and casual shirts with tailoring. You can see the marron and green on the wingtips, pants, sweaters, shirts, and down vests. The casual shirts usually feature either a spread or button down collar in plaids and checks and are paired with solid navy or gray suits. This season is very strong and I can see a lot of people enjoying the pieces.
